Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College Mukandpur, situated in the rural interior of district Nawanshahr, has successfully completed its long journey of 15 years from the state of infancy to blossoming maturity since when it was established in 1994.
Renowned agricultural economist Dr. S. S. Johl envisioned it as “A College with a difference” simultaneously declaring its mission to provide value based education and training to rural youth. The college always strive for a life with a better direction and better purpose. Cherishing this hope the college is growing leaps and bounds and has now earned another feather in its cap as university has started five years integrated course in MBA and three years course in MCA to provide better career opportunities at both national as well as international level to rural youth, the access to which always proved to be an Achilles heel.
Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus Gurdaspur is located on Hardochhani road, 3 km away from the heart of the city located in the lap of pristine nature, the campus lush with green surroundings, pollution free and serene environment which is ideally suited for academic activity. View of snow clad mountains and open fields surrounding with eucalyptus plantation add beauty to the natural glory of the campus. Wellmaintained open playground is another priced assets in the institute. In such ideal conditions Department of Business Management is making future managers with innovated capabilities, practical skill leadership and decision making qualities. ABOUT MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH REGIONAL CAMPUS, JALANDHAR
Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, though started in the year 1979, got its own sprawling beautiful campus at Ladhewali Road, Jalandhar in the year 2003.
Three new prestigious professional courses were started in the newly established Campus: School of Legal Studies, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The university is the first one in the North India to start B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year integrated course after 10+2 at this Campus. This course is open only to residential students and has adopted the clinical methodology at the pattern of National UNIVERSITY GATE 23 Law School.
The courses of M.A. Punjabi, M.A. English and Journalism and Mass Communication, besides Information Centre, were also shifted to this new Campus from the academic session 2003-04. The LL.B. Three Year Course is also being run at its old location.
